The
Palmer Shotokan Karate Club is a non-profit family-oriented martial
arts organization based in the Matanuska Valley region of Alaska.
Shotokan
karate is a traditional Japanese style of martial art founded by Master
Gichin Funakoshi. It is a non-contact martial art consisting of blocking,
kicking, punching and striking. The development of discipline, focus,
and respect for self and others is emphasized.
The
PSKC is a member of the Alaska region of the International Shotokan
Karate Federation, headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, under the direction
of Master Teruyuki Okazaki.
Classes
are available for ages 6 through adult.
PSKC trains at the Mat-Su Borough Gym, 350 E. Dahlia, Palmer, AK. For
